I have already one SolarCam D1 connected to my internet box by wifi and with a SD card (to record).
I am planning to buy a new kit (SolarCam System P1 SE) to cover more the blind spots, several cameras and home base. My question is does the home base improve really the connection between the cameras and internet box (to have better signal and more easy real-time view from the application or access to records)?
Hi Vincent, thatâs a really great question! I suppose it might depend on how well your router (internet box) performs on its own in the first place (as some do better than others) as to whether you would notice a difference. Most likely youâll notice a performance boost, as this essentially acts as a wi-fi extender for your cameras too.
In my personal experience with the SolarCam System P1 SE and the aosu Home Cortex System, signal has improved the range of my aosu cameras. The bases sit right next to my router, and I have improved range and signal strength now, compared to other model aosu cameras that were placed at far distances (alley, behind garage) which used only SD cards and direct wi-fi. I have no issues with signal now.
Hopefully this helps, and Iâm sure youâll enjoy the upgrade!
