Just got the Solarcam D1 Classic 2 camera setup. In hooking up the homebase I see it only links up at 100meg and not a 1 gig that my switch can do. Is this correct? thanks in advance.
Sufficient for purpose: Since the HomeBase primarily handles video uploads, local storage, and communication with a few cameras, 100Mbps is more than enough for its expected bandwidth needs — even with multiple 2K cameras.
- This won’t affect video quality, responsiveness, or performance for normal use (live view, event recording, notifications).
- It’s not a defect, just part of the hardware design.
