If your Aosu cam goes offline while you’re out, don’t panic. Run through this rapid recovery checklist:
Battery Status
First thing’s first: make sure it’s not out of charge. If it is, plug it in and power it back up.
Power On Procedure
It might be off. Hold the power button for 5 seconds to boot it up manually.
Wi-Fi Range Check
Too far from the router? That weak signal could be the culprit. Use the Aosu app’s Installation Guide > Detect Signal Intensity to test and reposition.
Device Health Scan
If it’s still not responding, inspect for hardware issues. If something seems off, contact Aosu support for a fix.

3. The camera is too far away from the router
Check the distance between the router and the camera, and keep it as short as possible. Then, find the camera on Aosu APP, and click Settings - Installation Guide - Detect Signal Intensity

Inspect whether the camera is faulty and if so, please contact our after-sales personnel for repair."
Make sure everything is working properly. Ensure your mobile device has a working connection. Restart the app. When at home, you can then check the devices in your security system. Are any of your cameras and home bases damaged? If not, try power cycling them. If your cameras operate on batteries, ensure they’re holding a charge. In colder temperatures, they may have issues charging, so either bring them indoors or bring a portable battery bank to charge them up. If they don’t hold a charge at all, they may be faulty and will need to be replaced or repaired.
If your AOSU security camera gets disconnected, it’s important to act quickly to restore the connection and ensure your system remains secure. Here’s a step-by-step guide to follow:
1. Check the Power Supply
Check the power adapter
Ensure the cable isn’t damaged or unplugged.
Try plugging into a different outlet or port.
If your camera is a solar powered one, check the solar panel is in a location that receives adequate sunlight and/or is not damaged.
Ensure the camera is turned off (Long press the POWER button for 5 seconds to start the camera)
2. Inspect the WIFI Connection
Make sure Wi-Fi is working properly.
Check if the camera is within range of the router.
Reconnect it to Wi-Fi through the camera app if it dropped off the network.
3. Reboot the camera/devices
Restart the camera, router, and recording unit.
This can often fix temporary connectivity issues.
4. Check for Tampering or Damage
Physically inspect the camera. If it was cut, moved, or unplugged, it could be vandalism — check nearby footage if possible.
