If your AOSU security camera gets disconnected, it’s important to act quickly to restore the connection and ensure your system remains secure. Here’s a step-by-step guide to follow:
1. Check the Power Supply
-
Check the power adapter
-
Ensure the cable isn’t damaged or unplugged.
-
Try plugging into a different outlet or port.
-
If your camera is a solar powered one, check the solar panel is in a location that receives adequate sunlight and/or is not damaged.
-
Ensure the camera is turned off (Long press the POWER button for 5 seconds to start the camera)
2. Inspect the WIFI Connection
-
Make sure Wi-Fi is working properly.
-
Check if the camera is within range of the router.
-
Reconnect it to Wi-Fi through the camera app if it dropped off the network.
3. Reboot the camera/devices
-
Restart the camera, router, and recording unit.
-
This can often fix temporary connectivity issues.
4. Check for Tampering or Damage
- Physically inspect the camera. If it was cut, moved, or unplugged, it could be vandalism — check nearby footage if possible.
5. Update Firmware / Software
-
Outdated firmware can cause instability.
-
Use the app to update the firmware.
