Setting up home base

I purchased a four camera D1classic kit. I use a hot spot for my home Wi-Fi. Is there a way to connect the Ethernet port wirelessly to connect to my hotspot to set up system?

Unfortunately, the four camera D1 Classic Kit comes with the H1L home base, which requires an ethernet connection.

I’m not sure what you mean by hotspot. Do you not have some kind of physical access point? Even the WiFi Pods offered by my ISP have unused ethernet ports you can plug the home base into.

If you really don’t have option to do that (you have a purely wireless connection in your home), you could try buying a WiFi Extender that includes an ethernet port. You’d basically be taking that WiFi signal and turning it into an ethernet connection you can plug the home base into. I personally use a TP-Link RE550 for a similar, but different, issue and it’s been problem-free since I set things up months ago. There are tonnes of options available, so you don’t need to buy that one. Just be sure to consult reviews for reliability, signal strength and speed (connecting to a signal from a WiFi Extender will almost always result in lower speeds than connecting to the original one).

I cannot personally vouch for the quality of these products, but I came across a handful of devices from a company called Vonets that could also help you out. They make WiFi repeaters/bridges that would basically make the home base’s ethernet port wireless. You can see a video setting up an older model here. Though, I don’t know if you’d be able to do the initial set up without any kind of router.
