What's the USB port for on the Home Base?

What’s the USB port for on the Home Base? I thought that the Home Base is to be connected to my router with the supplied Ethernet cable - why do I see talk of WiFi for the home base to router connection?

Welcome to the aosu community~For charging the camera, you can either directly connect it to the Homebase for charging, or use a 5V1A2A charger.

I believe this is what you’re looking for.

I couldn’t send the file itself so you’d have to click the link to download the pdf.

Hmmm aren’t the cams solar powered?
I would have thought the USB on homebase would allow to backup data stored in the 32Gb onboard
Also would have thought XSDC card in each cam for backup if connection lost to homebase.

Silly me, I thought these were supposed to be smart devices

There are two types of cameras with homebase, mainly solar-powered and rechargeable cameras, so they can be connected to homebase for charging.
I understand your doubts about solar-powered cameras, because sometimes it is possible that the camera may not be able to get any sunlight for a long time due to weather reasons, so we also left a charging port to solve this problem.
I hope the above can solve your doubts. If you have other questions, you are welcome to post in the aosu community, maybe everyone will resonate with you.
