Hello. I’m looking to integrate my cameras into Home Assistant and can’t find the necessary settings.
Please refer to the provided image for instructions on how to connect with Alexa/Google smart devices. Thank you.
Thank you. Home Assistant is open-source and requires RTSP or ONVIF, but I do not see any way to enable either in the Aosu phone app. I don’t want to use Alexa or Google Assistant.
Maybe I was not clear enough in my original question, but I don’t have Alexa or OK Google accounts, and I don’t want them. I’m trying to run the Aosu cameras within Home Assistant, which is an open-source non-cloud environment. Many cameras now support Home Assistant and it is becoming very popular. It is one of the fastest-growing software platforms.
Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding your requirement for Home Assistant integration, please note that all aosu battery-powered cameras (including the T2 Series) do not support ONVIF, RTSP, or NAS/NVR protocols.
Our systems are designed as a closed-loop security ecosystem to prioritize:
Ultra-low Power Consumption: Standard protocols like ONVIF keep the camera ‘awake,’ which would drain the battery rapidly.
End-to-End Security: To ensure your privacy, the video stream is encrypted and accessible only through the encrypted aosu App or your local Base Station.
Currently, we recommend using the aosu App for all features, or integrating with Alexa/Google Assistant for voice-activated live viewing if needed.
