I have a model V8E2CA11 doorbell camera. I do not have a cloud storage account but a properly formatted micro SD card. It seems to record properly, when there is motion or some event it shows a preview file in the app. But when I go to “Events” in the app and click on the preview, it says “No events, try swiping up or pulling down the list.” What am I missing? Is my doorbell defective or how do I find actual recorded events?
I also have this issue. Did you find a solution by any chance?
No, I haven’t. I guess I’ve just been living with it this way. I’ve been getting all sorts of random results with the doorbell. Sometimes it seems to work right, I can see an event and watch it a couple times but eventually it goes away and it’s back to “no events”. I should try and figure out how to contact customer support in some way other than this useless forum.
For doorbell camera. I had this same issue and read somewhere on a chat that once your first time free subscription ends you can only see events via cloud. Which is odd, then why have an sd card? But my doorbell camera sometimes records and sometimes doesn’t. It’s pretty useless. The other outdoor and indoor cameras still work fine.
Is the correct day selected in the events tab? If the event occurred the previous day it will not show them when you go into todays event view
I never signed up for the free trial cloud subscription, so that never applied to me anyway. And it is NOT supposed to work only on the cloud. If you have a SD card, you should be able to see events on the card.
There is always the option to swipe up or down to supposedly scroll through days to find recordings of any date. Your reply suggests you are not fully understanding the issue—recordings, if they are indeed on the SD card as they should be—are not accessible because… I don’t know, flawed software in the app? Or has Aosu falsely misrepresented their services and requiring a paid subscription to see them? Still looking for support and answers from Aosu.
