Protect Banner will not allow me to see events. I have installed and reinstalled numerous times. Please advise asap.
Hi there! I totally understand your concern, and I’d like to help clarify things with you ![]()
Before we dig deeper, could you help confirm a few details so we can rule out other possibilities?
Are you using a camera system that comes with an aosu base station (aosuBase)?
- If yes, connecting to the base station will allow recordings to be stored locally on the aosuBase and viewed normally.
Or are you using a standalone (single) camera?
- In that case, we support both local storage and cloud storage.
- However, please note: you’ll need to insert an SD card for local recording.
*** If no SD card is inserted, recordings can’t be saved locally, which is why you may see cloud subscription prompts.**
Could you let me know:
*** Whether your camera is a standalone model**
*** And whether an SD card is inserted**
If the issue still isn’t clear after this, feel free to share a screenshot of the message/advertisement you’re seeing —

Hi ,
The reason you’re seeing the cloud storage subscription banner may be the following:
Since no SD card is inserted, there is no local storage available for event recordings, which triggers the cloud storage subscription reminder. Our standalone cameras support local storage, so simply inserting an SD card will allow your camera to store events locally.
Here’s how you can resolve it:
- Currently, only the V8S model of our doorbells comes with built-in storage and does not require an SD card.
- You can check your doorbell’s SN; if it is not a V8S, just insert an SD card to enable local storage.
We look forward to your follow-up and are here to help until your issue is resolved.
If the problem persists after confirming the above, please feel free to share a screenshot of the specific notification or banner you’re seeing — this will help us assist you more accurately. ![]()
