I have 7 cameras around my house in Costa Rica, but one of them keeps going offline. I’m thinking of replacing it with a spare one that I have, but I live in the US and I won’t be going there for a while…. If I get me property manager to change it for me, what would be the best way to do it, so it gets added in the app with all the rest so I can still monitor it? Looking forward to any feedback on how to do this. Thanks in advance.
Hello, if it goes offline due to poor wifi, maybe you can try a wifi extender to enhance the wifi at the cameras location. It could easier if you try to purchase a wifi extender from amazon and let you property manager plug it in for you and configure it to have the same current wifi name so it automatically connects. This trick worked for me.
Before replacing the hardware, you need to diagnose the root cause of the frequent disconnects. Given the camera could bein a strategic location, is it possible this isn’t a technical glitch, but rather intentional signal interference or tampering designed to create a security blind spot?
