Does anyone else have issues with the floodlight camera getting stuck in the downward position? I’ve also tried turning off tracking, but it still moves with target causing it to get stuck.
Hi Seanbowden,
We are sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. It can be frustrating when the camera doesn’t stay in its designated position. Since the camera continues to move even with tracking off, please try the following steps to resolve the conflict:
- Check “Auto Cruise” Settings: Even if “Tracking” is off, the “Auto Cruise” or “Panoramic Patrol” feature might still be active. Go to Settings > Monitoring Settings and ensure “Auto Cruise” is turned OFF.
- Verify “Movable Tracking” in Detection Zones: In the aosu app, navigate to Settings > Detection Zone. Check if “Movable Tracking” is enabled here. Sometimes this sub-setting remains active even if the main tracking toggle is off.
- Perform a Manual Calibration: The camera may have lost its orientation. You can trigger a recalibration by going to Settings > PTZ Calibration (or simply unplug the camera for 30 seconds and plug it back in). During startup, the camera will rotate to its limits to “find” its home position.
- Check for Physical Obstructions: Ensure there are no spider webs, debris, or cables near the rotating neck that might be causing the motor to “trip” and default to a downward position.
If the issue persists: It is possible the internal limit sensor is faulty. Please contact our support team directly via the “Help Center” in the aosu App, and provide your Order ID. We will be happy to assist you with a replacement if it’s a hardware defect.
Best regards,
