Stored on a local storage or in the Cloud. The difference in storage space with Cloud Recording is that cloud offers unlimited storage, while local storage is limited and old videos are overwritten when space runs out.

Video events are stored either locally on the camera’s memory card or in the cloud, depending on your settings.

Card Recording (Local Storage): By default, videos are saved to the camera’s internal memory with encrypted circular storage—older footage is automatically overwritten. Recordings can only be viewed in the Aosu App.

Cloud Recording: Requires activation and a paid subscription. Videos are stored securely on cloud servers with privacy encryption. Cloud storage offers unlimited space, so older footage is not overwritten and can be accessed anytime.

Key Difference: Cloud recording offers unlimited, long-term storage, while local recording is limited and overwrites older footage.

You will be offered with the services such as privacy encryption, unlimited storage space and remote access at anytime.Because it enjoys unlimited storage, there is enough storage space to keep older footage for you to trace back for a long time.

  • Local Storage (SD card): Storage capacity is limited by the size of the physical SD card, usually ranging from 16GB to 128GB. Once full, the oldest videos are overwritten unless manually managed, pro of it is no monthly fees.
  • Cloud Recording: Offers remote storage with generally larger or scalable capacity, depending on the subscription plan. It allows video access from anywhere and provides backup protection even if the camera is damaged or stolen. Cloud storage is usually subject to monthly fees and retention limits based on the plan.
