Aosu cameras offer the user to store footage both locally (on a Micro SD card/Home Base) or through the Cloud using the app. The core differences include storage space and pricing.

The local solution limits the user to whatever the card or Home Base’s capacity is. Footage is encrypted and Aosu employs circular technology that records over older footage once there is no more room.

Cloud storage offers unlimited space, but comes with a subscription fee. You can see the various Aosu Protect+ plans here.

:trophy:aosu provides two ways to store your video events: local SD card recording or cloud recording.

Local (SD Card) Recording
By default, all video events are saved to the 16GB internal storage of the HomeCortex device.
This storage is fully encrypted and uses a circular recording system, meaning the oldest footage is automatically overwritten when the memory becomes full.
Local recordings can only be viewed through the Aosu app.

Cloud Recording
You can also choose to store video events on Aosu’s secure cloud servers.
Cloud recording offers additional benefits, including enhanced privacy encryption, unlimited storage capacity, and the ability to access your footage remotely at any time.

Cloud recording is a paid service. To activate it:

  • Open Settings in the Aosu app
  • Select Cloud Recording
  • Tap Activate Now and follow the steps to complete your purchase

Aosu offers several subscription options, including:

  • 14‑day storage (monthly or yearly)
  • 30‑day storage (monthly or yearly)
  • Premium plans for 3 devices (monthly or yearly)
  • Premium plans for 5 devices (monthly or yearly)

Most plans include a 7‑day free trial, except the 14‑day monthly plan and premium multi‑device plans.

L’accès au cloud est payant, tandis que l’accès à la carte sd est libre.
