PIR stands for Passive Infra‑Red, and it’s a super common tech used in alarms and motion‑activated gadgets. :locked::sparkles:

Instead of sending out signals, a PIR sensor just watches for changes in infrared energy, basically the heat that people, animals, and objects naturally give off. When something warm moves across its detection zone, the sensor notices the shift and triggers an alert or action. :footprints::fire:

Because they’re low‑power, reliable, and don’t need constant active scanning, PIR sensors show up everywhere: outdoor security lights, home alarm systems, smart‑home automations, and even energy‑saving lighting setups. :light_bulb::house:

Perfect little silent guardians doing their job in the background. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

PIR is short for Passive Infra-Red, which is a technology used to detect body heat and motion by recognizing light emitted from nearby objects. Aosu uses this technology in their battery-powered cameras to preserve battery life.
