The first thing to do is to make sure your mobile device has notifications enabled for the Aosu app. Both Android and iOS offer the ability for users to control the notices they get in their Settings option.

If the Aosu app is allowed to deliver notifications but you’re still not getting any, it’s possible there is a problem with the camera, home base or mobile device. Ensure your phone has a working network connection and ensure the Aosu devices are connected properly and powered.

Check List for troubleshooting

· Please check if the Push Notification in the setting of Aosu app is on.

· Confirm the mobile phone-settings-message reminder-whether to allow Aosu APP to provide message reminders.

· Confirm that the mobile phone is not on “DND” (Do Not Disturb) mode (this mode should be turned off).

· Check if the wifi signal range on your phone and the doorbell is good.

· Please make sure your phone is not using VPN service/app when you are away from home.

· Please log out the aosu app and log back in then test again.

NOTE:

· Android users: please enter the phone settings page, find the APPs button and click it, and cut into the page to select the AOSU app, there you could enable the notifications.

· IOS users: Please enter the phone settings page, and select the notifications, in the page, you will find the AOSU app and turn on the Allow notifications button

If you can’t receive notification in the night time, but daytime is fine

· You can check if your phone is in ““Do Not Disturb”” mode - after turning it on, all apps should not be able to push notifications.

· You can check the sensitivity of the motion detection. The sensitivity will decrease at night, so you can adjust it higher to troubleshoot the issue of not recording due to lack of motion detection.

· Additionally, please go to the camera’s settings, message notifications, and check the message push time period to see if it has been set to only receive message notifications during the day.

Checking the settings

You can go to the app, Settings-Notification settings to adjust notification function.

· There are two types of notification modes, the immediate mode, when motion is detected, the app will push a notification ASAP. As for the Intelligent mode, when you click it, you will see event types like Ring, which means someone rings the bell, like passing, staying, and Anti-Theft warning. You can select the types of notifications you want to receive and those you don’t want to receive. When you set it on, the app will push notifications by intelligent algorithm.

· And the final one, check the Snooze function inside the notification, when you click it, you will see an Interface where you can set up a time range when you will not receive any notifications, This function means the device will keep working but will not send you notification in the time range you set when you think it is too annoying.

Troubleshooting Aosu App Notification Issues

If you’re not receiving alerts from the Aosu app, please try the following steps:

a. Enable Notifications in the Aosu App

Open the Aosu app, go to Settings, and make sure that Push Notifications are turned on.

b. Allow Notifications in Your Phone Settings

On your phone, open Settings → Notifications (or Message Reminders) → find Aosu → and make sure notifications are allowed for this app.

c. Check for “Do Not Disturb” Mode

If your phone is on Do Not Disturb, it can block alerts. Turn this mode off to allow notifications.

d. Verify Network Connection

Make sure both your phone and Aosu doorbell are connected to a strong and stable Wi-Fi signal. Poor connectivity can prevent alerts from coming through.

e. Avoid Using VPN Services

If you’re away from home, make sure a VPN app or service is not active on your phone. VPNs can sometimes block Aosu notifications.

f. Refresh the App Connection

Log out of the Aosu app, then log back in to reset the connection. After that, test to see if notifications are working.

If You’re Not Getting Aosu App Alerts

  1. Turn on notifications in the Aosu app settings.

  2. Allow Aosu notifications in your phone’s settings (see photo below).

  3. Turn off Do Not Disturb mode on your phone.

  4. Check your Wi-Fi for both the phone and doorbell.

  5. Don’t use a VPN when away from home.

  6. Log out and back in to the Aosu app, then test again.

Not a damn thing because the camera failed to recognize it as human, while it was busy sending notifications about the tree moving in the wind all day.
