Does anyone have any issues with their video doorbell using hardwired power? The transformer provides adequate power 16.5V but the charge is super slow. Just curious if anyone is facing this problem.
Mine is slow too. I think from what I have read, the doorbell transformer power is supposed to maintain the existing doorbell battery charge - not be a main charger itself. Although if the doorbell is not in use, the doorbell transformer will slowly and eventually completely charge the doorbell battery if it is low. When I first installed my doorbell, the battery voltage was around 40%. I did notice the transformer was slowly charging the battery but I got tired of waiting and used a charger plugged into the USB C port at the bottom and fully charged it to 100%. Since it has been fully charged, the doorbell transformer power now keeps the doorbell battery maintained at 100%.
