When the camera is offline, if SD card storage (local recording) is being used, it continues to record video. Videos recorded during the offline period can be recovered and viewed after the camera reconnects to the network. If cloud storage (cloud recording) is used, recordings cannot be made over the network while the camera is offline. During the offline period, cloud storage recordings will be paused until the camera reconnects to the network.
Once the camera goes back online, are the videos that were recorded on the SD card while offline, automatically uploaded to the cloud? Or is that footage only available on the SD card at that point?
After the camera is reconnected to the network, the video recordings saved on the SD card during the offline period:
will not be automatically uploaded to the cloud.
These recordings can only be viewed by accessing the SD card (e.g., remotely viewing the contents of the SD card in the aosu App, or removing the SD card and reading it with a card reader, depending on whether the specific model supports remote access to local storage).
That is to say, videos recorded while offline exist only on the SD card and are not automatically synchronized or backed up to the cloud. Only new recordings after the camera is reconnected to the Internet will continue to be uploaded to the cloud.
So it is recommended to use both the SD card and the cloud recording at the same time to synthesize the obvious advantages such as the unlimited storage feature of cloud recording.
