How do I add cameras/connect Wi-Fi?
How do I add cameras/configure networks?
-
According to the steps in the APP, first click the “+” to add a device, and select the model of “IndoorCam P1”
-
Use the phone to scan the QR code on the bottom of the camera.
-
Use the power adapter to power on, and the green indicator is steady.
-
Long press the SNYC button at the bottom of the camera for 5 seconds, until you hear the “beep” sound of the power-on prompt, and the green indicator flashes.
-
Enter the Wi-Fi name and password.
-
Point the QR code on the phone screen to the camera and keep a distance of 10-15cm/4-6 inches.
-
If the scan is successful, the camera will make a beep sound, at this time, the voice prompts the camera and the router to establish communication.
-
When you hear the voice prompt of the successful connection, the Wi-Fi connection is successful.
-
Start personalizing the camera (name the camera, choose a working mode, etc.)
Why does the network connection always fail?
Before each network connection, please confirm that the camera has been reset (long-press the SYNC button at the bottom of the camera until a “beep” sounds and the green indicator flashes)
· Check whether the SSID is capitalized correctly in the input Wi-Fi information
· Check whether the password is correct in the entered Wi-Fi information
Confirm that the router can connect to the network normally (when the mobile phone is connected to the router, it can be used in the network normally)
Check the distance between the camera and the router: if the distance is too far or there are obstacles (such as walls, etc.), the overall Wi-Fi signal may be weak.
· Check your router’s Wi-Fi encryption type, if it is WEP mode, it is recommended to change it to WPA or WPA2
(WEP is an insecure encryption method, it is recommended to modify this mode, see the following link for instructions: Wired Equivalent Privacy - Wikipedia)
Confirm that the router does not have a MAC address whitelist set.
What should I do if the camera is offline?
- Confirm if the camera is powered off
Please reconnect the power supply to ensure that the camera has always been powered by the power supply when it is working.
- Poor camera placement
Please try to place the camera as close to the router as possible and reduce obstacles such as walls.
- The Wi-Fi name or password has been modified
Please try to reconnect at Settings - Reconnect Wi-Fi.
- Router failure
Please ensure that the router can access the Internet normally.
- The camera is faulty
Please check whether the camera is faulty. If there is a fault, please confirm the SN number and escalate to CN Team.
What should I do if the camera cannot be used after changing the Wi-Fi name or password?
You can reconnect via “Camera Settings - Reconnect Wi-Fi”.
After the first successful network connection, do I need to reconnect the Wi-Fi if the camera is powered off and restarted?
Unnecessary. In the normal state of Wi-Fi, the camera will automatically restart and adjust the camera angle within a short time after it is powered on, and display the real-time picture on the app.
