Your first thought might be: “Is my camera not working?”

Not always. Sometimes, motion detection just needs the right settings and environment to work properly. :gear:

These could be the possible reasons why your camera may not detect some motion events and how to fix it:

Human only is turned on at the detection settings. Turn it off and set detection sensitivity to max.

Wi-fi signal is below 80%. Move the camera closer to the wi-fi base and restart the camera.

Scheduled sleep is turned on. Turn it off.

Ensure firmware is up to date.

Ensure the camera is not facing a crowded road or a very narrow view .

some events are missing, please check:

  • Human Only is turned off

  • Detection Sensitivity is set to Max

  • Wi-Fi signal is above 80%

  • Scheduled Sleep is off

  • Firmware is up to date

  • The camera is not facing a crowded road or a very narrow view

If your camera is missing movements, there could be a few culprits:

  • Check your Detection Settings in the app. Make sure it isn’t limit to only spotting humans. For the most thorough results, make sure it’s set to Max.
  • Make sure your camera has a strong WiFi signal. If your camera sends data to an aosuBase, try to ensure you have at least 80% range.
  • Ensure you don’t have a scheduled sleep setting enabled on your cameras.
  • Make sure your firmware is up-to-date.
  • Position the cameras to make sure it’s not facing a crowded road or a narrow view.

If all else fails, contact aosu support with your camera model, location and its view.
