I do have the solar outdoor cameras and the for some reason it is not charging up completely although in the summer months is much better than winter even though I do have some all around my house with no trees. Officially it says it only needs 2 hours a day of charging from the Sun but that seems not accurate and this is very frustrating as I thought this would be a game changer.
any ideas what can be done? will be very much appreciated
This is such a common problem that Aosu has their own guide for it:
If possible, try to bring a battery bank to those cameras and have them charge off of those.
I live in Canada and have two solar cameras. One of them has the panel mounted very high with zero obstructions. Itās charging completely even now in late December.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the other camera. Itās always been slightly obstructed, but overcast conditions, limited daylight and overhanging shadows from nearby buildings means itās been struggling to charge via solar since late November. Thankfully, this oneās very easy for me to take down and recharge in-doors, which I did about ~2 weeks ago. I suspect Iāll have to do that at least one more time this season.
