Device Model: AOSU Video Doorbell Pro with Wi-Fi undefined
Setup: Live View active (No MicroSD card inserted in undefined)
Hi everyone,
I recently set up my AOSU Video Doorbell Pro with the Wi-Fi undefined. I can see the live video feed clearly and the speaker on the doorbell plays my voice when I press the Talk button, but I cannot hear any incoming audio from someone speaking at the door.
Here is the exact behavior I am seeing:
-
Live View Audio: On the main live view screen, the speaker/audio icon is enabled, but no sound comes through the phone speaker.
-
Manual Recording Test: As soon as I tap the manual Video Record button on the live feed, the audio/speaker icon immediately turns grey and becomes disabled/locked. When I play back the saved recording on my phone, there is no sound at all.
Steps I have already tried:
-
Verified smartphone permissions (Microphone, Storage, and Audio are fully allowed).
-
Checked in-app settings and confirmed audio/sound recording options are active.
-
Tested phone media volume and confirmed no Bluetooth devices are connected.
-
Lowered streaming quality from HD to SD to check for bandwidth issues.
-
Power cycled and soft restarted both the Video Doorbell Pro and the undefined.
-
Removed all protective shipping film from the outdoor camera housing and checked the physical mic pinhole.
Has anyone encountered this issue where the live audio stream greys out during recording or fails to relay incoming sound? Is this a known firmware bug, or does it point to a defective hardware mic on the doorbell unit?
Thanks in advance for any advice or troubleshooting suggestions!
